Suraj Morajkar while addressing the students of Don Bosco College Panaji, said that the entrepreneurial seed was planted in him as a young cricket player on the fields of Don Bosco High School, where he discovered the need to win. Managing director of Sun Estates Developers Suraj Morajkar was speaking at the third edition of the ‘In Conversations’ programme, held on August 6. Eminent personalities from Goa from different fields are invited to interact with students and motivate them with their stories of success. This edition was organised by second year students of the department of Travel and Tourism. The inaugural ceremony commenced with a short video on Suraj Morajkar’s entrepreneurial journey that took him from telecommunications to real estate and then to the hospitality industry. The video also detailed awards and accolades that Morajkar has to his credit. Present at the event were principal Raju George, manager Fr Wilfred Fernandes, BBA (Travel and Tourism) coordinator Tania Shirodkar. Suraj Morajkar in his speech called Goa an architectural marvel and felt that he tapped into an untapped niche in the real estate and hospitality industry as his creations embody traditional Goan architecture in scenic venues. There was an interactive question and answer session in which students voiced their queries to gain insight on the hospitality and tourism industry. In the question and answer session, Morajkar shared his views on the latest trends in the hospitality industry, the theme of World Tourism Day and his fondest memories while studying at Don Bosco High School, Panaji.
